Disturbance Labels

Disturbance Labels

Disturbance labels are the values in the DIST-GEN-STATUS layer. They capture the accumulated changes observed over time. There are first, provisional, and confirmed changes. These descriptors represent the number of occurances of disturbances over time i.e. 1, 2, and at least 3 disturbances, respectively. There are also high and low descriptors which represents the statistically modeled confidence of the observed disturbances. The finished descriptor means a confirmed change's value returns to the nominal baseline.
